Player Questionnaire:
Are you 16 years of age or older? Yes.
What time(s) are you generally online (Furcadia Standard Time)? On weekends, it could be anywhere from 10 A.M to 3 P.M, then again at some point later in the evening, on weekdays I'm usually lurking about at 2 P.M to 10 P.M.
What is your preferred play style (Strict Roleplay or Persona Roleplay)? Strict Roleplay
Are you interested in taking on any IC positions (e.g. Bartender)?
Not particularly, but if it's suggested and I like it, why not?
Are you interested in taking on any OOC responsibilities (e.g. Uploader)? Not really, between being a full-time student and working part time, I wouldn't be able to be consistent.
Character Questionnaire:
What is your character's full name? Ivette
What is your character's Furcadia screen name? Ivette
Briefly describe your character's appearance: She looks as if she's been living on the streets or at least in varying degrees of poverty her entire life. To describe her as thin is to make a vast understatement, she is skeletal and frail-looking, as if a very gentle breeze might not only carry her countries away but would likely break her in half. Her clothing hung on her and has been repaired numerous times with patches, but she had more than one dress and a coat for when the weather turned cold. At all times she wears a pair of gloves that extend up almost to her shoulders, but are fingerless. A length of bandages are wrapped around her eyes and her hair is left loose in its braid to assist in hiding her face. It seems she is blind.
Briefly describe your character's background: Her true origins are unknown to her, but she has fleeting images of hundreds of apalled faces looking up at her in a striped tent. In other words, she was a circus freak during her very early childhood, and a very poorly treated one at that. However, she had been able to escape.
Luckily for her, she stumbled upon a man named Gabriel Troester. Towering at eight feet tall and clothed in gentleman's rags, at first he scared her but he treated her with kindness and eventually adopted her. Although he was mad and perhaps needed an asylum, there was no one who cared for her more in the world. He named her, assigned her a birthday, and provided her with an education befitting a lady. Of course he had been her teacher, and he believed ladies should be trained not only in academics and social graces, but also on how to poison their guests should they be rude.
Very recently they have been abducted from their home for many months. Gabriel was killed, and Ivette barely managed to escape. On what had happened to her, she shares nothing but the occasional delusional scream that wakes her from her sleep.
Post an example of roleplay (no more than a paragraph or two): Ivette wandered along the Thames in a barely-coherent state, simply trying to keep from succumbing to sleep. She kept her hands out in case she almost run into something or someone. The latter filled her with fear, and she wondered if perhaps she should try to find a nice alleyway to spend the night in. A wind played with the hem of her dress and her hair, carrying away her whispers to herself, "He went onwards, and then came Death striding up to him with withered legs, and said, "Take me as godfather." The man asked, "Who art thou?" "I am Death, and I make all equal." Then said the man, "Thou art the right one, thou takest the rich as well as the poor, without distinction; thou shalt be godfather." Death answered, "I will make thy child rich and famous, for he who has me for a friend can lack nothing." The man said, "Next Sunday is the christening; be there at the right time." Death appeared as he had promised, and stood godfather quite in the usual way..." The familiarity of the tale almost brought tears of desperate grief to her Russian-accented voice, but she held strong and began heading back in the direction of the alleyways.
