Are you 16 years of age or older? Yes. Note - you do NOT have to specify your age, simply confirm that you meet the age requirement.
What time(s) are you generally online (Furcadia Standard Time)? It varies according to my work schedule. Anywhere from 11 AM to 11 PM FST, usually no more than an hour or two at a time. My time zone is GMT -3.5 (Newfoundland Standard Time). Note - you do NOT have to specify your time zone or your location, but it may be helpful to say, for example, "I am on Pacific Standard Time (GMT -8)," or, "I am in Central Europe (GMT +1)," etc.
What is your preferred play style (Strict Roleplay or Persona Roleplay)? A mix of both - depends on my mood, where I am and who I'm with. Note - since the Consent Rule always applies, the only significant difference between Strict and Persona Roleplay in this continuity has to do with whether you prefer OOC chat in whispers or brackets, and whether or not you want to create a Character Sheet and use dice for combat or during certain quests.
Are you interested in taking on any IC positions (e.g. Bartender)? Yes - engineer/inventor and diplomat. Possibly president or high-ranking officer of some sort of club for inventors, explorers, archaeologists, and other such extraordinary gentlemen on the cutting edge of science and scholarship.
Are you interested in taking on any OOC responsibilities (e.g. Uploader)? Yes - I am the founder and current Rah of the guild, but at some point down the road I would like to pass on that title and just be a patcher/dreamer, because real life responsibilities do not leave me enough free time to be a truly effective Rah.

Briefly describe your character's appearance: A tall, thin man some thirty or forty years of age, with auburn hair and stormy grey eyes. Apart from a colourful silk cravat, his somber apparel is hardly worthy of note, except to say that the high quality of his top hat and tailor made boots mark him as a member of the upper class, as if his fancy cane and matching silver pocket watch weren't a dead giveaway. He wears an iron ring on the little finger of his right hand - you can tell it's iron because it's started to rust.
Briefly describe your character's background: Nethercross is the absentee landlord of vast estates in County Dublin, Ireland, providing him a steady and substantial income, some of which he regularly donates to charity. He is well educated, with degrees in physics, mathematics, and mechanical engineering; he also has an abiding interest in history and archaeology, and he speaks a number of languages. As an engineer, he specializes in analytical engines (early mechanical computers) and steam engines. He is also a diplomat, and often acts as a technical liaison to various embassies around the world. He is a widower, with no children and few living relatives. Note - don't give too much away in your backstory. Tell us only the sort of details that could be common knowledge to someone who runs in the same circles as your character. Intimate details, like "Lord Nethercross secretly believes in the existence of faeries, and is mildly phobic of telephones," should generally only be revealed during roleplay.
