Player Questionnaire:
Are you 16 years of age or older? Yes.
What time(s) are you generally online (Furcadia Standard Time)? During the summer time I expect to be online based on how my work schedule pans out, though I mainly foresee myself being online after 7 p.m FST. However, this is really flexible and may change day after day. I am currently under the MST (Mountain Standard Time) time zone.
What is your preferred play style (Strict Roleplay or Persona Roleplay)? Strict.
Are you interested in taking on any IC positions (e.g. Bartender)? Certainly. Almondine could easily take on any positions that involve "entertainment" (i.e. songstress, burlesque dancer) while Augustien may be more suited in the position of a stakeholder or entrepreneur of a local business - I'm open to suggestions / recommendations though.
Are you interested in taking on any OOC responsibilities (e.g. Uploader)? Absolutely, if it's needed.
Character Questionnaire:
What is your character's full name? Almondine Aucoin.
What is your character's Furcadia screen name? Almondine.
Briefly describe your character's appearance: Youth and beauty exudes from this young woman; a certain glow encapsulates her slim figure, though this slender carriage may be attributed to a whale-bone corset that ensnares her torso. The lower half of the garment billows outward in an elegant cascade, runches and layers of vibrant color give the impression that she is wearing an esquisite evening gown. A carved, jewelled cameo is fastened at the base of her throat with black ribbon. With every step, the gown whispers about her white boots and gives the appearance of a subtle dance. As one passes, they might catch the sounds of a soft melody being hummed, or a glimpse of her foot tapping to a silent song.
Briefly describe your character's background: Almondine has been accompanied by her older brother Augustien to London simply for the stark reason that she stuck under his charge. The siblings are on an extended visit from France while Augustien attempts to salvage what he can from their late father's equestrian empire. While her brother attends to his business, however, Almondine is hoping to create a career for herself in stardom. The young woman of 19 is well versed in both the English and French languages and has an affinity for the piano - she hopes to fashion her career as a singer / songwriter in this way.
Post an example of roleplay (no more than a paragraph or two): Almondine slid onto the piano seat with as much grace as one can muster while wearing a poufed gown. The coffee house was empty, yet her posture remained immaculate as she sat before the ivory and ebony keyboard. Her fingertips gently pressed a key worn from use and a gentle note echoed throughout the empty room, resounding as if she'd used plenty of force instead of a soft finger stroke. She glanced around her self-consciously, half-hoping, half-dreading that someone had heard the intruding sound. When a moment had passed and she was sure that none had come to inspect the curious plink of the piano, she pressed her fingers into the landscape of the keys again, though this time a well-formed melody flowed from the depths of the instrument. It was a jaunty tune; lively enough to cause the china cups and plates to tremble under the trebles and the bass of the notes and enough for the tune to practically bellow against the empty crevasses of the coffee-house. The song ended abruptly, after a few measures, and the notes seemed to linger and drift through the air like a haunting spirit before evaporating completely.
