Player Questionnaire:
Are you 16 years of age or older? Yes.
What time(s) are you generally online (Furcadia Standard Time)? Depends on day to day lifestuff, but anywhere between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m. or later (Furcadia Standard Time) will find me in the dream.
What is your preferred play style (Strict Roleplay or Persona Roleplay; Movie Script Style or Paragraph Post Length)? I vary, though make a general practice of keeping to at least a paragraph if possible. I feel Semi-para describes it best.
Are you interested in taking on any IC positions (e.g. Bartender)? Most certainly, though with my erratic schedule I feel it would be best for me to take on an IC position relating to the railway.
Are you interested in taking on any OOC responsibilities (e.g. Uploader)? If possible, I would be interested. It's a very well done dream with quite the researched history and near endless track of possibilities for roleplay.
Character Questionnaire:
What is your character's full name? Conor Conall Dubhghall
What is your character's Furcadia screen name? Conor Dubhghall
Briefly describe your character's appearance:
A tall and lanky man with soft brown eyes and even softer light brown hair, he tends to speak less frequently than he tends to use action. Clad in soft yet durable riding pants, tall sturdy black boots and a well-loved muslin shirt, he generally keeps to his usuals unless he requires something tougher. Like his favored gray wool coat, for instance. On occasion he can be found with a rather garishly colored vest, but only when he isn't working on some project.
Briefly describe your character's background:
Born to an Irish mother and Scottish-English father in Lancashire, Conor was raised with a love for mechanical devices as well as a strong spiritual belief in the Old Ways: He almost superstitiously believes in the fae and magicks that encompass the world over. As he grew, he developed an aptitude for engineering and quickly felt he had more to give to the community. He gathered what little things he was afforded and traveled to the Big Smoke.
Enrolling in classes for Engineering, he found himself bored with academia and struck out on his own. Getting a job with a train heading to and from London gave him the opportunity to converse with a large range of people, including an investigator from Her Majesty's Railway Inspectorate who encouraged him to join the forces. Conor declined, however, so that he could remain at his job watching over the trains and the passengers they carried.
Post an example of roleplay (no more than a paragraph or two):
"Alrigh', lads, I know what to do. " The tall and soot-covered male spoke in a gentle touch of Irish and Regional while he brushed himself off. The collected conductor, engineer and signalman had all come to the odd man for his advice. Coughing quietly as he then smiled some, Conor then reached under his leather flop-cap for a small clay pipe. He'd just climbed up over the coalcar behind the locomotive engine for a better look at the situation. A crash up ahead along the line had stopped their train, and caused quite a delay. "I'll be back in twane shakes o' a cockrel's beak. " Conor murmured between his teeth, though kindly, as he had clamped down upon his pipe. He was going to give a hand to the owner of the cart, for what good did it do for any of them to stand around not doing anything? Better to help than to utter excuses idly.
